This podcast starts as always with the Columbus itinerary. Jessica mentioned there are local restaurants open for Thanksgiving, and here is that link.

We focus on two community organizations that provide a hand throughout the year. The first is Community Plates who, through food runner volunteers, move food from restaurants and farmers markets, to food pantries. We volunteered on Saturday and moved food from the Worthington Farmers Market to the Worthington Resource Pantry. The farmers and vendors were very appreciative of us being there, but I thank them for their generous giving.

Next, we interview MarQuan McCarrel of Pursuing Our Dreams - POD, and Feed the Streets. He shares with us how he and his brother, MarShawn, created Pursuing Our Dreams, how it evolved, and how Feed the Streets was developed. With the vision of not being heroes, but being neighbors, Feed the Streets volunteers walk through a few neighborhoods on the West side handing lunches to residents, not only people who are homeless, but to anyone who may be hungry. Meeting at Franklinton Square, volunteers have touched the lives of many. This November 26 you can join Feed the Streets as they serve hot lunches for Thanksgiving. I am grateful for meeting MarQuan's mother, Leatha, a few weeks ago, as that chance meeting gave us the opportunity to learn about Pursuing Our Dreams - POD and Feed the Streets.
